Replacement blinds slats are the way forward!

Our lovely customer wrote us an entertaining testimonial about why replacing your blind slats if you have a good working order track is a good idea.  Replacement vertical blind slats are really the way forward.

We thought we would share it with you here.

“The blinds were purchased to replace some  blinds damaged by prolonged water leakages in the conservatory: A problem that we discovered AFTER we had purchased the house!
Judging from the state of them, the leaks must have been present from the moment the conservatory was constructed…or at least, from about 10 minutes after the first storm of rain following that opening ceremony.
We did not want to put new blinds up until the leaks were stopped.
But sadly, we also discovered, again after buying the house, that the firm who built the conservatory had gone bankrupt…a not entirely surprising outcome, since the constructors clearly believed that, when required to do so, water will run UP hill!
It has taken all this time for our builders  to work out where the various leaks were getting in, and devise the many and various ways to prevent it all happening.
We really did consider taking the whole lot down & starting again!
Indeed it might have been cheaper…but there you go!
Anyway, your blinds turned up within the time you promised, and had to be placed in a dry place until required!
When , (at last!) the guys finally found the last leak, we started to assemble the new blinds.
I have to say putting them all together was quite straightforward, (even easier than I had imagined) and they hang correctly… and we are very pleased with them.
Especially so, as we obtained many quotes from “professional” blinds suppliers, both local and national, and the costs they were suggesting were many times what we paid you!
Worse! They all wanted to take the original track down and erect their own.
They were all very insistent, quoting all sorts of legal clap-trap to justify their doing so!
Now we had quite enough leaks to go on with, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
The LAST thing we needed was some cack-handed blinds erecting enthusiast drilling a lot of brand new holes!
And as you can see from the enclosed picture, that was quite unnecessary, and the whole job took us less than half an hour!
And at that price, we can afford to change the colour &/or the pattern at any time….if we so wish.
Best Regards
Phil & Flavia Stainer”
